T-Environmental has had the opportunity to work in Downstate New York on a Permanent Emergency Generator project. Many gas stations located in the Downstate area of New York lost electrical power as a result of damage caused by Superstorm Sandy. These losses of power caused severe disruptions within the gasoline supply. This ultimately impacted the public safety and well-being of the affected communities. Installing permanent generators at Eligible gas stations will help to alleviate the strain of a power outage, whether it is caused by a localized event or a widespread disaster.
Our initiative is to bring permanent generators to Eligible gas stations located in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, Westchester, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, and New York Counties. In the event of a catastrophic emergency, we want to make sure that the affected areas still have access to an abundance of goods and services, including but not limited to fuel, convenience store goods, ice and restrooms. Not only will this project be in the best interest of the communities, but it will also create a safe haven and fueling station for local officers and emergency operations personnel.
